What did you do this past week? This past week I graded the third assignment for 312, which was creating a special optical illusion grid in Java using graphics. I also planned out my iOS project with my group and my SWE group finalized our idea for the website we want to make. I held discussion section on Monday for my 312 students where we did some practice for their upcoming exam next week. What's in your way? I have an online assessment for Cisco and TikTok I need to complete to see if I can move on to the next round of interviews. I also have a phone screen with Facebook that I've been doing nothing but studying for. I've heard that Facebook only asks Leetcode Medium or above difficulties so I'm nervous they may ask me something I don't know how to solve. What will you do next week? Next week I'll continue studying for my online assessments and phone screen. I'll also try to apply to a few more places to see if I can get more interview opportunities. I w...

 1. What did you do this past week? This past week I held discussion section for my 312 students for the first time. I also graded their second assignment last night, which grades were not so great. I had a meeting with my manager from my summer internship yesterday and found out that I did not receive a return offer for a full time position unfortunately, so I've also been practicing Leetcode to prepare for future interviews. 2. What's in your way? I need to finish a Game Technology homework that has been rather puzzling so far. I also need to finish my iOS mobile development homework as well. For Monday, I need to prepare for discussion section and I'll need to finish touching up my resume to send out to recruiters for full time interviews. 3. What will you do next week? This next week will be full of interview prep and project planning. My classes that involve group projects are starting to form groups and project development is starting soon, so I hope those go s...

 1. What did you do this past week? This week I finished the Collatz project. I also held office hours for 312, where I helped students figure out their second assignment. I also finished my first iOS mobile development homework, which was to create an RPG game in Swift. For the class I'm TAing for, I graded their first assignment and updated their grades today. Most students didn't do very well on their first assignment, so I'm hoping with the feedback I provided that they will improve for the next assignment. 2. What's in your way? I have to finish the setup for my Game Technology class's first project, which takes a lot of time. It's rather complex to set up a game engine on your laptop that wasn't meant to be used for heavy processing. I also need to finish the second assignment for my iOS class, where I'll be designing UI in Swift for the first time. 3. What will you do next week? Next week I will finish my iOS homework and turn it in, and hopefully...

What did you do this past week? This week I had my first office hours for the class I TA for, CS 312. I also started the Collatz assignment and managed to pass the HackerRank test cases. I got assigned my first homework assignment for iOS mobile programming and started thinking about how to work that out. What's in your way? I need to finish this blog, then I need to create my acceptance and unit tests for Collatz. I also need to start on my iOS mobile programming assignment which is in Swift, and I need to read up on the syntax for that language. What will you do next week? My goal for this next week is to finish the Collatz assignment, finish my iOS mobile computing homework, and start grading the first homework assignment for CS 312. I'll also need to host my office hours and prepare for the first discussion section for that class. If you read it, what did you think of the Paper #2: Makefile? I always though Makefiles were an interesting concept and I'm glad I get to hav...
